Bioaccumulation Behaviors of Copper Phthalocyanine Nano-pigments in Adult Zebrafish (<i>Danio rerio</i>)

Copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) has the largest application market of blue nano-pigments (NPs), which can release from relative products to aquatic environment during daily use. However, bioaccumulation CuPc NPs in high trophic-level organisms is unclear. Therefore, behaviors zebrafish as model organism were investigated. In this work, irregular shape with an average size 76.8 nm, whose crystal phase was a common beta according XRD spectrum. After 10 d exposure NPs, weight at both low and concentrations showed no obvious difference con-trol, indicating little influence on survival zebrafish. It noted that amounts Cu accumulated liver (982.84 ng/g) skin (609.08 ng/g), small accumulation observed gut, heart, gill. could not lead brain muscle. This work helps better understand potential risks NPs.
